Telluride Artist Opens New Art Gallery

Margaret Rinkevich, a local Telluride artist and resident of Telluride, Colorado, is holding the grand opening of the new Telluride Art Gallery “Rinkevich Gallery” on Saturday, December 15, from 5-8 PM as part of the Mountain Village Holiday Prelude. The gallery features contemporary paintings and traditional tribal African art.

While the grand opening event is free and open to the public, wine and champagne will be sold by the glass with all proceeds benefiting the GoHawkeye Foundation. Additionally, a portion of the art sales made that night will be donated to the GoHawkeye Foundation. All Telluride artists should join us!

DATE: December 15, 2018 from 5-8 PM

PLACE: Rinkevich Art Gallery
 (618 Mountain Village Blvd Unit 120 C
Southwest Corner of the Centrum Building across from Mountain Village Wells Fargo Bank.)

Art and altruism are an essential and vital component in any community. The GoHawkeye Foundation is partnering with Margaret Rinkevich and the Rinkevich Art Gallery to welcome and introduce the newly established fine art gallery in Mountain Village.

While the GoHawkeye Foundation and an art gallery may seem an odd partnership, creative approaches are a fundamental part of adaptive organizations' efforts to assist disabled athletes. Complex reasoning, recognizing differing spatial relationships and understanding verbal and non-verbal ideas are integral parts of that process.

Art, simultaneously, challenges us with this kind of abstract thinking and problem-solving strategies. It enables us to think about objects, principles, and ideas that are not physically present.

The bottom line…both art and GoHawkeye are in many ways about expanding life’s possibilities… your attendance will support both a new and exciting art gallery and help expand what outdoor activities are possible for disabled athletes through additional funding making its way to the GoHawkeye Foundation!

“Margaret has been a strong supporter of the GoHawkeye Foundation,” said Hawkeye Johnson, founder of the GoHawkeye Foundation. “We’re encouraging our GoHawkeye Crew to get behind Margaret and her new art gallery, which in turn, thru Margaret’s generosity, will also help GoHawkeye further our mission of helping disabled athletes.”
